The general theme of the congress is: EVOLUTION OF THE HUMAN SOCIETIES OF PREHISTORY AND TO PROTOHISTORY
A unifying theme that will include several sub-themes to be proposed by the various scientific commissions.The other themes will be developed in the form of several sessions.

XIX UISPP CONGRESS NEW DATES - Covid-19 pandemic
Dear colleagues,
The Local Organizing Committee of the XIXth IUPPS and in a close concertation with the President and the General Secretary of the IUPPS is monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic
spread. Most of our colleagues are in fact affected by different countries in all over the world lockdowns and travel ban announcements.
Last April 18th 2020, the Local Organizing Committee held a video conferencing meeting with the President and the General Secretary of the IUPPS about the lockdown measures, the border shutdowns by many countries and to preserve health of all the participants.
After evaluating the situation and in order to ensure a greater participation of our colleagues and to welcome them in the best possible conditions, the XIXth IUPPS although initially foreseen for September 1st-6th 2020 had to be postponed to September Thursday 2 nd to
Tuesday 7th 2021 at Moulay Ismail University, Meknes, Morocco.
We totally understand the inconvinience this postponement may cause you and we highly invite all the persons who already bought their air tickets to contact the air companies to
explore possibilities of refund or flight vouchers.

We will be glad to see you all in the XIXth IUPPS Congress in Meknes and please stay healthy in these difficult times.

Chères collègues, Chers collègues,
Le comité local d’organisation du XIXè congrès de l’UISPP en concertation étroite avec le Président et la Secrétaire Générale de l’UISPP ont suivi l’évolution de la propagation de cette pandémie du COVID-19. Ainsi des décisions de confinement décrétées par différents pays dans le monde et des restrictions de voyages touchent une grande partie de nos collègues.
A cause du maintien des mesures de confinement, de fermeture des frontières de plusieurs pays, et dans un souci de préservation de la santé de tous les participants, le comité d’organisation local a tenu une réunion à distance avec le Président et la Secrétaire Générale de l’UISPP le 18 avril 2020. Après l’évaluation de la situation et dans un souci d’assurer la participation d’un plus grand nombre de nos collègues et de les recevoir dans les meilleures conditions, La XIXe édition du congrès UISPP initialement prévue du 1 au 6 septembre 2020 est reportée et aura officiellement lieu du Jeudi 2 au Mardi 7 septembre 2021 à l’Université Moulay Ismail, Meknès (Maroc).
Nous comprenons parfaitement les désagréments causés par ce report, et nous conseillons vivement à toutes les personnes ayant déjà acheté leurs titres de transport de contacter leurs émetteurs afin d’évaluer les possibilités de remboursement ou de
changement de dates.
